Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment and machinery in a food manufacturing facility. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive measures to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues as they arise
Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
Collaborate with production staff to schedule maintenance during non-peak hours
Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations within the facility
Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred
Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and best practices
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary
