We are a 60% refit, 40% new construction as prime, and occasionally as a subcontractor. We move quickly, and for the last three to four years, we have grown by 300% annually. We have more than ten upcoming possibilities to design and construct brand-new data centers from the bottom up. We are looking for a traveling superintendent who has data center/design and build experience.
Position Overview
The Traveling Superintendent will oversee the construction and installation of data center facilities across various locations. This position requires extensive travel and a strong background in electrical power distribution, cooling systems, and containment designs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and construction activities at various job sites nationwide.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Manage the installation of electrical power distribution systems, cooling systems, and containment designs for data centers.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate project status and quality of work.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports for management review.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders during project execution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, specifically in data center/electrical mechanical projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, cooling systems, and containment designs.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and client relationships.
- Willingness to travel extensively to different job sites.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
