Position Overview
The EPC Project Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of engineering, procurement, and construction projects. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains project budgets, and supports project managers in achieving financial targets throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
Monitor and analyze project costs and provide regular reports to project managers.
Process and review invoices and billing related to project expenses.
Manage job costing and ensure accurate tracking of project financials.
Coordinate with subcontractors for purchase orders and payment processing.
Conduct reconciliations for project accounts and ensure compliance with Lien Laws and Tax Compliance.
Assist in the closeout process of projects by ensuring all financial aspects are finalized and documented.
Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, highlighting project performance and variances.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction, civil or energy sectors.
Strong understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles.
Proficiency in project management software such as Procore and accounting software like Sage.
Knowledge of AIA Billing and cost analysis methodologies.
Familiarity with commercial and energy-related projects, including solar and civil engineering is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
