Safety Coordinator- Manufacturing

Position Overview
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe working environment within the manufacturing facility. This role involves implementing safety policies and programs, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards
  • Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices and procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, recommending corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training and incidents
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Previous experience in a safety role within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of MWP and MWP safety programs
  • Strong understanding of occupational health regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Certification in safety management or a related discipline is a plus
