An established AmLaw 200 law firm with a state-wide presence is seeking an Of Counsel Attorney to join its team in County. This is an opportunity for someone with 7+ years of public labor and employment experience to lead cases and contribute to the development of a growing practice group, with a focus on high-profile litigation, labor relations, and public-sector employment matters.
Offer:
Salary: $160,000-$275,000 contingent on experience
Monthly productivity bonuses and end-of-year bonuses
Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance
Profit sharing (10% of total compensation)
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in labor and employment law, public sector law, or litigation
Expertise in administrative hearings, collective bargaining, or employment investigations
California Bar membership in good standing
Strong academic background from an accredited law school (e.g., UC Berkeley, UC Law San Francisco, UC Davis, or comparable)
Ability to work independently and directly with clients
Responsibilities:
Lead litigation efforts, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trials
Serve as Chief Labor Negotiator for public agency clients during collective bargaining
Conduct employment-related investigations, particularly in public safety and fire districts
Represent clients in administrative hearings, arbitrations, and PERB proceedings
Provide legal advice and counsel on complex public-sector employment matters
