2. Amazon Announces New Dash Buttons [Fortune]
On Tuesday, Amazon unveiled Dash Buttons, easy to use internet-connected devices that if pressed, allow you to automatically order your favorite products from Amazon. Dash Buttons are free but require an Amazon Prime membership. They will be the first of a number of new Amazon products and services that are designed to make the most of the internet of things for your home.
3. GoDaddy Goes Public [Venture Beat]
The Newest Tech IPO GoDaddy went public this week under the symbol GDDY. Its opening share price was $20 dollars. By the end of the day the stock was up over 30 percent. As of last year, GoDaddy did over $1.38 billion in revenue and has more than 13 million customers.
4. Tesla Setting Up To Announce New ‘non-car’ Related Product [Yahoo]
The word is out that Tesla is going to make a big announcement at the end of April, unveiling a new non-automobile related product. While there is no official word from Tesla, all signs point to a new in-home Tesla Battery that will be able to store power generated from Solar panels.
5. Sling TV Makes Deal to Stream HBO Before Game of Thrones Premier [ReadWrite]
On Wednesday Sling TV announced that they will be offering HBO as an add-on to its existing service for $15 a month. This is a big move for HBO, as they continue to move away from offering their original content exclusively through traditional cable providers. The new deal will go into effect before the premier of
Game of Thrones season five, which begins in a few weeks.
