6 Cool New Features from Apple’s iOS 7

Today Apple announced the latest operating system at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2013. It’s coming to your iPhones and iPads this fall.

Twitter feeds went nuts in real time as Apple CEO Tim Cook and other executives unveiled Apple’s upcoming changes to the Apple software. Cook said this will be “the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone,” according to Mashable.

Here are some of the cool new features we are excited about:

1. All Apps Will Be Able to Multitask

It’s going to be much more intuitive when it comes to maintaining your favorite apps. “It will monitor which apps you use frequently to help determine which ones need more full-functioning multitasking,” according to Mashable.

Plus, it’ll keep your favorite apps automatically updated. In other words, if you use Instagram the most, then it will update Instagram the most often.

2. Brand New User Interface

Here’s what the i0S7 will look like, according to Gizmodo. This includes brand new icons, flat design and 3D layers.

3. AirDrop is Coming to iOS7

AirDrop is the easiest way to share files with other iPhone or iPad friends. This was a feature available only on Macs, but now it will be more conveniently available on Apple mobile devices, according to Engadget. It makes much more sense, since you can share resumes, references, contact info and more on the go!

4. Siri Will Know What People are Saying on Twitter

This is a fun little change on Apple’s Siri. Now, you can ask Siri what people are saying on Twitter about whatever you’d like. Since Twitter is such a fantastic platform to learn about news, trends and more, this might come in handy for an easier, new type of access to real-time info. Oh, and they’ve added a male voice as well.

5. iOS 7 Will be More Seamless in the Car

If your car supports smartphones in its dashboard, the new iOS 7 offers better features for seamless car integration. You’ll be able to see maps, text messages and more displayed more easily in your car during your long commutes! This coupled with Siri can make your drives much more productive.
