The arrival of the coronavirus has made working from home the new normal. And while many employees were already trying to persuade their bosses that productivity and communication wouldn’t suffer if they worked remotely, it’s only in the last few months that companies are seeing that it can be done. And done well.
COVID-19 has been the turning point for remote workers, with big tech companies like Twitter, Google and Facebook telling employees they will likely be working from home at least through the end of 2020. That’s welcome news for many tech workers. According to Dice’s The State of Remote Work report, more than half of those surveyed said remote work is more relaxed and more productive than an in-office setup.
Smaller tech companies are listening and starting to follow this remote work trend. Dice found that tech employers are likely to continue remote or flexible work offerings, which have proven overall to be positive for both employers and employees.
CyberCoders surveyed companies to find out some of the best high-paying remote jobs right now and what skills you need to get hired.
If you’re in the market for a remote tech position, here’s what you need to know.
