Human Resources Generalist

Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a key resource in managing various HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting the overall mission of the organization. This role involves handling employee relations, onboarding new hires, managing terminations, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality while supporting the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation is completed and compliance is upheld.
Handle terminations and ensure proper procedures are followed according to company policy and employment law.
Oversee leave of absence (LOA) requests, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Assist in unemployment claim handling and represent the organization in unemployment hearings as necessary.
Maintain and manage employee documents, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to document management protocols.
Provide training and orientation for new employees to facilitate a smooth integration into the company.
Support compliance initiatives to ensure alignment with employment laws and regulations.
Utilize a ticketing system to address employee inquiries and HR-related requests efficiently.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
1+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as a Generalist
Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations
Experience in claim handling and managing employee documents
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on confidentiality
Proficiency in onboarding processes and managing terminations
Ability to use HR software and ticketing systems effectively
