Fire Sprinkler Design Manager

Our team is growing and we're looking for a Design Manager with project management experience to join in our San Antonio region!

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the fire sprinkler design team to deliver high-quality designs that meet project standards and requirements.
Develop fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD and other design tools, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.
Conduct hydraulic calculations and analysis to ensure the adequacy of water supply and system performance.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure integrated design solutions and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and approve design documents, shop drawings, and submittals to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to the design team, addressing any challenges or questions that arise during the design process.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in fire protection systems and design software.

Qualifications

5+ years as a Fire Sprinkler Designer with commercial, industrial, or residential project experience.
NICET is required- ideally Level 3
Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, etc. for design
Strong knowledge of fire protection standards and codes, including NFPA and local regulations.
Prior project management experience adept with communicating, scheduling, leading teams, client facing, and meeting deadlines effectively.
