Established (50+ Year) Semiconductor Manufacturer Seeking Field Service Engineer in Fremont, CA
An established manufacturer of semiconductor and vacuum coating equipment, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its team in Fremont, CA. This role involves servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-precision semiconductor and vacuum deposition systems at customer sites.
Offer:
$80,000 - $110,000 annual salary (contingent on experience)

Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in field service or maintenance of semiconductor/vacuum deposition equipment
Strong understanding of vacuum technology, RF power systems, PLCs, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Ability to travel 30-50% domestically and internationally
Strong customer service and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot semiconductor and vacuum coating equipment at customer sites
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on PVD (physical vapor deposition), CVD (chemical vapor deposition), and vacuum-based systems
Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
Diagnose system failures and provide technical support via phone, email, or onsite visits
Document service activities and provide feedback to engineering and R&D teams
Collaborate with internal teams to improve system performance and reliability
