Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer
Location: Tempe, AZ (typically 40% travel - up to max 50% travel)
This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing Systems Integration Company. The company performs engineering, software development, controls fabrication and installation of conveyor and robotic systems on a national basis. We are seeking a highly-motivated professional with ability to travel domestically. This is a salaried full-time direct hire position with a stable privately-owned company that offers, paid holiday, PTO, health benefits and 401K.
Office hours are 7:00a-4:00p M-F.
Summary
Entry to mid-level Engineering Position
Designs, tests, installs and maintains conveyor for use in material handling applications.
Produces detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, site surveys, schedules and other related materials
Uses electrical engineering tools, such as computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment, to carry out responsibilities
Job Requirements
Knowledge of Rockwell PLC and distributed I/O networking highly preferred but not required; willing to train the right person with relevant experience
Knowledge COTS HMI user interface programming softwar
Knowledge of .NET (C#, Visual Basic, C++), Java (Core and Android) desired but not required.
Prior exposure or familiarity with manufacturing and production environments highly preferred; relevant co-op or internships will be considered
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Good organizational, planning and time management skills
Must be open-minded and have initiative to learn and take on new tasks; career growth opportunities for the right minded individual
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
Associates Degree or equivalent technical/vocational training preferred
US Domestic Travel Required, up to 50%
Relocation cost NOT available for this position
