Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer

Location: Tempe, AZ (typically 40% travel - up to max 50% travel)

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing Systems Integration Company. The company performs engineering, software development, controls fabrication and installation of conveyor and robotic systems on a national basis. We are seeking a highly-motivated professional with ability to travel domestically. This is a salaried full-time direct hire position with a stable privately-owned company that offers, paid holiday, PTO, health benefits and 401K.

Office hours are 7:00a-4:00p M-F.

Summary 

• Entry to mid-level Engineering Position 

• Designs, tests, installs and maintains conveyor for use in material handling applications. 

• Produces detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, site surveys, schedules and other related materials 

• Uses electrical engineering tools, such as computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment, to carry out responsibilities 

Job Requirements 

• Knowledge of Rockwell PLC and distributed I/O networking highly preferred but not required; willing to train the right person with relevant experience 

• Knowledge COTS HMI user interface programming softwar

•  Knowledge of .NET (C#, Visual Basic, C++), Java (Core and Android) desired but not required.

• Prior exposure or familiarity with manufacturing and production environments highly preferred; relevant co-op or internships will be considered

• Excellent oral and written communications skills

• Good organizational, planning and time management skills

• Must be open-minded and have initiative to learn and take on new tasks; career growth opportunities for the right minded individual

• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word

• Associates Degree or equivalent technical/vocational training preferred

• US Domestic Travel Required, up to 50%
