Controller

The Controller is a vital member of our finance team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, close process, POC revenue recognition, internal controls, and risk management. They should also possess excellent leadership skills, be able to mentor and train team members, and provide effective performance evaluations and feedback.

Position Overview

The Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, implementing and monitoring internal controls, and providing timely and accurate financial reporting. The Controller will also lead a team and be responsible for training and mentoring team members to ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Oversee the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Manage and review POC revenue recognition
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Identify and mitigate financial risks
• Lead and mentor a team to ensure their success and development
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
• Train team members on financial systems and processes
• Perform monthly analysis of financial data and provide insights and recommendations
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reports
• Utilize Deltek Vantage Point to manage financial operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of GAAP and close process
• Experience with POC revenue recognition
• Knowledge of internal controls
