Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Attorney to support our litigation team, primarily focusing on brief writing and complaint drafting. This is a remote position, offering flexible hours between 20 to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate is an experienced legal writer with a strong background in litigation and a proven ability to produce persuasive, clear, and technically sound legal documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, revise, and finalize legal briefs, motions, and other court filings.
Prepare detailed, well-researched complaints that align with litigation strategy and jurisdictional requirements.
Conduct legal research to support drafting and litigation efforts.
Collaborate with partners and litigation teams to refine legal arguments and ensure consistency and clarity in written work.
Manage deadlines and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced, high-quality work environment.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on legal writing.
Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work product on deadline.
Familiarity with federal and state court rules and procedures.
Experience with complex commercial, class action, or plaintiff-side litigation is a plus.
Compensation:
This is a contract role offering up to $100 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
