Job Description:

We are seeking a Civil Engineer/Designer, with (4+) years or more of applicable experience, to join our growing Charlotte, NC team!

About Us:

We are a regional provider of civil engineering, landscape architecture, construction engineering and inspection, land surveying, subsurface utility engineering and environmental management services,
operating from our Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC offices.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform site/civil design and drafting functions for commercial and residential land development and/or public infrastructure projects.
• Work in collaboration with a civil project engineer and a multi-disciplinary team throughout the project cycle, from planning, through design development, preparation of construction plans and construction administration.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce a myriad of Civil Engineering plans, including surface creation, layout and modeling of storm drainage and sanitary sewer systems, and development of plan and profile horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Design support and preparation of drawings.
• Occasional travel to client or project sites.
• Coordination with the work of others.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• E.I.T. Certification or Professional Engineering Licenses is preferred.
• Familiarity with civil engineering principles, including site design, grading, drainage, and utility systems.
• AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required.
• High level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Good interpersonal skills, and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
• Ability to effectively interface with other project team members.
