Established (75+ years) NYC Real Estate Law Firm Seeking Bankruptcy Attorney in NYC
An established NYC-based law firm with over 75 years of history is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join their growing team. Unlike many real estate transaction firms, they include a dedicated bankruptcy team that has handled numerous high-profile cases. Their bankruptcy attorneys assist clients in purchasing property or mortgages from debtors in bankruptcy transactions and represent a wide range of clients, including institutional lenders, debtors, creditors' committees, and trustees in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases.

Who you are:
3-7+ years of experience as a Bankruptcy Attorney
Experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases, including representing debtors, creditors' committees, and trustees
Familiarity with real estate-related bankruptcy issues, including good faith filings, plan objections, and automatic stay motions
Strong litigation, negotiation, and drafting skills
NY Bar in good standing
Juris Doctorate
What you will be doing:
Representing clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
Assisting clients in purchasing property or mortgages from debtors in bankruptcy
Managing real estate-related bankruptcy matters, including motions to vacate automatic stays and plan objections
Collaborating with institutional lenders and other clients on complex bankruptcy and restructuring cases
Advising clients on insolvency, workouts, and bankruptcy litigation
