Position Overview:

The Accountant (Debits/Credits) will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the organization, ensuring accurate recording of debits and credits, and maintaining compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, as well as experience in healthcare or hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Record debits and credits in the organization's general ledger
Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and proper classification of transactions
Conduct rollforward analysis of accounts to identify and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain compliance with GAAP standards in all financial transactions
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Accountant
Strong understanding of debits and credits and their impact on financial statements
Experience with GAAP standards and general ledger maintenance
Previous experience in healthcare or hospital settings is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
CPA certification is a plus
